When should we visit Kashmir?
April–October for shikara rides, saffron gardens and alpine meadows (tulip season peaks early April); December–February turns Gulmarg into India's finest ski resort. Autumn's chinar gold in late October is the photographers' secret.
What is a night on a Dal Lake houseboat like?
You stay on a carved cedar houseboat on Dal or the quieter Nigeen Lake — walnut-wood interiors, khatamband ceilings, and kahwa served on the deck as shikaras drift past the floating market at dawn. It's Kashmir's signature experience.
What makes Gulmarg special?
The Gulmarg Gondola is one of the world's highest cable cars, rising to 3,980 m on Apharwat Peak — powder skiing in winter, wildflower meadows in summer. We arrange instructors, equipment and permits for the upper phase.
