Cruise or island-hopping — which is better in the Galápagos?
A small-ship expedition cruise reaches the remote outer islands (Genovesa, Fernandina) that day-trips can't, with naturalists aboard. Land-based island-hopping from Santa Cruz and Isabela suits families and lighter budgets. We run both — tell us your pace.
When is the best time to visit the Galápagos?
It's a year-round destination. December–May brings warm, calm seas and ideal snorkelling; June–November's cooler Humboldt currents draw peak marine life — whale sharks, rays and feeding frenzies. Wildlife breeding events happen every single month.
What are the national park rules?
Every visitor group must be accompanied by a licensed Galápagos naturalist guide, landings are limited to marked sites, and a 2-metre wildlife distance applies. The park entry fee (US$200) and transit card are arranged by us before you fly.
