Palawan Hidden Lagoons

Palawan, Philippines

El Nido & Coron — limestone karst, secret lagoons, slow island life.

A ten-night Philippines slow-travel journey through the UNESCO-listed Palawan archipelago. Five nights at an off-grid eco-resort on Pangulasian island (El Nido) — solar-powered overwater villas, marine-biologist-led snorkel safaris through the Big and Small Lagoons, kayak tours of Bacuit Bay. Three nights at a community-run beachfront cottage in Coron with Tao Foundation expedition cruises through the Calamian Islands, sea-turtle nesting sanctuary visits and traditional bangka outrigger sails to the Kayangan Lake mirror pools. Two days in Manila for Intramuros heritage walks and a private degustation at one of Asia's-50-Best restaurants. All operators are accredited Sustainable Tourism partners; every booking funds reef-rangers in Tubbataha.

Common questions

Before you book Palawan Hidden Lagoons.

El Nido or Coron — which should I choose?

Choose both, if time allows. El Nido is famous for its Big and Small Lagoons and is the easier base. Coron's draw is its WWII Japanese shipwrecks and the mirror-clear Kayangan Lake. Our 10-night package splits five nights in El Nido and three in Coron — the two-island sequence is the trip's highlight.

When is the best time to visit Palawan?

Late November through May is the dry season — sunny skies, calm seas, and perfect snorkel visibility. June–October is monsoon and many smaller boat operators stand down. We schedule departures only inside the dry window.

Is the snorkelling beginner-friendly?

Yes — the El Nido lagoons are shallow, calm and reef-shoes optional. A marine-biologist guide briefs every group and supplies eco-reef-safe sunscreen. Non-swimmers can do the kayak-only itinerary and still see the karst gardens up close.

How do flights from India work?

Fly Mumbai/Delhi → Manila (direct on PAL or via Singapore on SIA), then a 75-minute domestic AirSWIFT flight to El Nido. Total door-to-door ~ 12 hours. We package the domestic leg so guests don't have to coordinate the Manila transfer themselves.
