“The Lahaul-Spiti circuit was the slowest, finest week of my year. Prayer wheels at Key Monastery before sunrise. Snowmelt-powered homestays. A team that answered every WhatsApp within minutes — even at 4,000 metres.”
Monastic retreats above 4,000 metres.
A slow circuit through cold-desert villages where homestays power off snowmelt and the silence is broken only by the prayer wheels of Key Monastery. Across the Kunzum La, the green meadows of Lahaul open up — a study in contrasts within a single Himalayan circuit.

Common questions
Before you book Lahaul-Spiti Valley.
Do I need a permit to travel here?
Some Indian states (Nagaland, Sikkim, Andaman, Lakshadweep, parts of Ladakh) require an Inner Line Permit or Restricted Area Permit. We arrange these on your behalf at the time of booking — typically 2 working days for ILP, 5–7 for RAP.
When is the best time to visit?
October through March is the broadly comfortable window across most of India — cool days, dry skies and the festival calendar at its richest. We tune each itinerary's exact dates to local weather patterns and shoulder-season pricing.
Are the experiences family-friendly?
Yes. Most of our India journeys are designed for couples, families and small groups (4–12). Wildlife and high-altitude segments have age-appropriate adaptations available — share the ages of children at booking and we'll tailor.
